Racing both the AMA National Enduro Championship and ECEA series, Sean Koeller takes centre stage in this Local Focus.
Born and raised in northern New Jersey, USA, 26-year-old Koeller has always had dirt bikes on the brain due to his family’s dealership Town & Country Cycle Center.
Starting things out with Hare Scrambles, he switched to motocross at the age of 16. Hard work and living at training facilities like Club MX and JWTF saw him finally achieve a major life goal obtaining a Pro motocross license.
“I raced some Canadian pro motocross and Unadilla during my first year as a pro, which was surreal,” tells Koeller.
“Unfortunately the following year I hurt my back at Muddy Creek during qualifying and after having surgery I decided I needed to hang up the motocross boots.
“During one of my stays at the Jimmy Weinert Training Facility I started to work as fitness trainer and helped with riding schools, which I really enjoyed, so after I left I decided to start my own riding school, Final Moto MX Training. I was able to do that while I was hurt but now that I’m racing full-time again means it’s super enjoyable too.”
